Days of the Week

We have been talking about the special things we do during the week.
There are some days where we have special activities. Some people play sport. Some people go to ballet. On some days there are special jobs that we do.
We have been writing about our weekly activities.
Some children used Kid Pix to create their stories. Some children wrote with pencil and paper.
We hope you enjoy reading our work.
Click on the picture to go to a voice thread. We will read our stories on the voice thread when we have time.

Indy's Possum News

Indy has been telling us some news and making up a sentence to write too. He has been working hard to listen for the sounds in words and write the letters. Keep up the good work Indy. :)

Great spelling Nina. I like your "try" for new! That's a good spelling word for you to learn.

On the weekend I had a sleepover in Fletcher's room.
We did spooky stories and I lost my tooth in the car.

Pig Hunting

When we went pig hunting we caught a pig.
Dad took the guts out on the railway track.
Jessica and I got stung by bees so we ran home quickly but we left the gun and the knife.

Parachute Stories

Maddison, Bridie, Jared, Nina and Milly wrote these stories about playing with the parachute.
In Room 2, we are all working very hard on our writing.
Last year we wrote our stories straight on the blog using the computer.
These ones have been scanned from our books.
If you click on them, you will be able to see them better.

Our Visit to Nash's Shearing Shed

Shearing a Sheep by Tom
Room 2 and Room 1 went to the Nash's to watch a sheep getting shorn.
First Mr Nash had a trick on us.
"Do we need some scissors?" he said.
And we said, "No!"
"Do we need clippers?"
We said, "No!"
"Do we need these?"
We said, "Yes!"
Next he got Snowy out. First he sheared her belly, then her neck, then her leg. Finally he shore her back.
It was a funny day. We went back to school.
Monty's Dad Shears a Sheep by Monty
On Tuesday Room 1 and 2 went in cars to my farm. We went because we are learning about wool.
When we got there my dad said why you have to shear a sheep.
Next he sheared Snowy. After that he shore the belly. Next he sheared the leg. After that he shore the head. It looked flat. First he did the side and then the other side. Later he did the last part. Then the sheep turned pink. It looked weird. After that we asked questions. The questions were very good. Next I said, "Careful. Don't cut his head off."
Then we went to school. I had a funny day at my dad's house.
